Limburg Pavilion | The Netherlands
The theme of the 2012 World Horticultural Expo was: “Be part of the theatre in nature, get closer to the quality of life”. The 66 hectare site was located on the outskirts of Venlo, The Netherlands in close proximity to the German border. It was the sixth World Horticultural Expo in the Netherlands.
Opened on April 4, 2012 by her royal highness Queen Beatrix, the expo hosted over 2 million visitors and 308 participating companies and countries. With international representation from China, Russia, Bolivia, Spain, Kenya, Thailand, Morocco, Germany, and many more, as well as regional and corporate representation of major horticultural industries, the Expo provided a memorable experience more than worthy of its highest rating by the Paris based Bureau International des Exposition and the International Association of Horticultural Producers.
Vineland and Partners worked closely with the province of Limburg and Lagotronics, the pavilion’s designer.
The pavilion was located in the large atrium of the Expo before the admission gates and therefore operated both prior and post the expo's operating schedule. The technology driven pavilion focused on the province's many attractions while staff was on-hand to deliver the human touch.
Vineland & Partners, was selected to manage and operate the Limburg Pavilion. As one of the most popular pavilions on the expo, it hosted over 130,000 guests in six months of operation.
